Workplace injuries can be detrimental to any business and The Boot Shop is working hard to make sure they don’t happen at all. “Workplace safety is a serious issue,” says Tim Morrison, General Manager of The Boot Shop. “It can lead to everything from workplace injuries to increased insurance premiums and drops in productivity. We want to work with local manufacturers and make sure they have the right protective footwear.”
One of The Boot Shop’s most recent initiatives is their industrial and commercial safety footwear program. The Boot Shop works closely with local manufacturers to determine what types of safety footwear they require and sets up a customized program to address the needs of the organization from fitting to customized billing and tracking.
“Several companies have taken advantage of our program so far and it’s been really well received”, remarks Tim. “We’re always happy to customize a safety footwear program that’s just right for them and their employees.”
No firm is too big or too small for The Boot Shop to handle. Currently, The Boot Shop outfits several small and medium-sized manufacturers including city workers, local police and fire departments. As one of Niagara’s largest dealers in safety footwear, they also feature a wide range of CSA Certified protective shoes and boots from such brands as Caterpillar, STC, Kodiak, Terra and the Timberland Pro Series.
"We want to prevent accidents before they happen,” Tim says. “And our program is a great way to make sure employees are protected and to avoid any costly accidents or workman’s compensation situations.”
